Cannabis Edibles and Drink Review had the pleasure of sitting down LEUNE’s Founder and CEO, Nidhi Lucky Handa.
CEDR: Were edibles something you knew you’d be introducing when you began?
Nidhi:YES! In fact, we started R+D on edibles before I launched the brand back in 2018.
CEDR: Has the growth in the edibles sector of the industry expedited your plans?
Nidhi: It took me three years to get Gem Drops to market, so it’s always been part of the game plan. Like with all LEUNE products, I didn’t want to launch until the products were worthy of our consumer base. I’m incredibly proud of how they turned out.
CEDR: With so many edibles on the market, what makes your gem drops unique?
Nidhi: Gem Drops are vegan, gluten-free, rosin based and they taste amazing! The dosing in 2.5mg and 5mg enable the consumer to learn their tolerance and ultimately create a more predictable experience.
CEDR: What other edibles do you have on the drawing board?
Nidhi: Stay tuned – always something cooking in the LEUNE-iverse!
CEDR: Any thoughts on “affect” driven (I,S,H) edibles and whether they are viable?
Nidhi: This is a sticky topic. The research that is coming out these days is showing us that terpene profile and cannabinoid ratios play into experience more than we thought. We’re so early on in understanding any of this particularly as it pertains to the individual experience.
